Hitachi just presented to the press their new 3.3M CCD camcorder. It accepts 3 types of 8cm DVDs, including DVD-RAM/-RW/-R, which can be played on a home DVD player. It has a 2.7” wide display and a feature to take photos every second.[...]

CEATEC – Hitachi HD Blu-Ray video camera protype

Hitachi seems to want to come up quickly with an HD camcorder based on mini Blu-Ray disks. There is also a model with a hard disk or Flash memory. There is no much information yet but we hope Hitachi will get this product to the market soon!
