APSJ update its NoPoPo Water battery, the only batteries running on water

Introduce for the first time in 2007 by APS-J, the NoPoPo (Non Pollution Power) water battery are like its name want you to believe, runs on water.
Thanks to a chemical reaction, these batteries will be able to give you from 3 to 10 minutes of Juice (power) thanks to a few drop of water. Now what is interesting and here is that you can store these batteries for up to 20 years and still be capable to use them, what is even better is that you could actually use virtually ANY liquid, this could be of course water, but also sweat, urine, saliva, alcohol, rain water, sea water, whiskey… ANYTHING! Of course APS-J strongly recommend you to use simple tape water for ultimate performances but if you do not have any water to spare… urine will do just fine!
Finally each batteries can be charge maximum 3 times before being completely worn out, and these new Batteries will hit Japanese store shelves later this august!
Oh and one more last thing, these batteries are apparently available in the USA as well, so I am sure that APS-J will provide the upgraded version in North America soon ! US Distributor http://waterbattery.com/

Highly misleading. It is activated by water, it does not run on water.

Absolutely right , I have actually dealt with the company behind this (AQUA POWER SYSTEM JAPAN , BEWARE) and it is a full on scam.

These batteries have a MAXIMUM capacity of 150 mA at most (even with 3-5 re-fills) , but worst of all they expand and de-form after use causing the product they are used in to be destroyed.

With this little capacity you would need 20 of these things to match 1 alkaline battery , think of the depletion of the earth’s resources having to produce 20 x the amount of components versus 1 x alkaline , its a crime against nature these things and completely useless.

3-10 minutes? That’s not very long at all.

“Finally each batteries can be charge maximum 3 times before being completely worn out, and these new Batteries will hit Japanese store shelves later this august!”

Is this something to get that excited about?…. “can be charge maximum 3 times before being completely worn out”.. wow so much for 20 years storage rate. If you buy them and test them out, then thats 1 time already. You’ve only got two more charges left….. maybe wait for the 10th generation before buying.
