Sony Japan upgrade its e-Book reader with “.book” support

Sony’s 5” Reader was until today only compatible with the XMDF copy protect e-Books and thanks to today’s update the Reader will also now be compatible with “.book” files as well as featuring an optimized reading software for better rendering of comics.
Finally this firmware upgrade also comes with a series of new Japanese comics that was so far only available on the “.book” format.
