Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 getting early-August Gingerbread treat

If you’re a user of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X10, which was updated officially to Android 2.1 Eclair not too long ago, you’ll be happy to know that this summer you will be getting some Android 2.3 Gingerbread on your smartphone.
While Sony Ericsson announced back in March that they were working on Gingerbread for the 4-inch 1GHz Snapdragon-powered device, today they announced the update is set for early-August.
The update will keep the phone’s camera UI intact as in Eclair and will feature newer functionality like their Facebook Inside Xperia feature.
