The Acer Power 1000 Sempron is available in Japan
Woot woot! I feel good this morning! The all-generous Acer God just announced the Power 1000, a well designed compact desktop PC measuring only 250×200x60mm and weighing 2.7kg (emitting 26dB). So far so good! Until we came across the specifications… I’m not completely crazy about Intel, but since the Pentium M, Intel has really earned my respect. And this PC only offers a Sempron 3200+ (repeat after me Acer: CORE DUO!)… Otherwise, there’s 512MB of RAM (2GB max), a GeForce 6150LE, a 80GB SATA hard disk, and a Multi DVD burner.

wonder if it can keep its head cool, because the idea 250 was a Media centre PC from acer, with lower specs, and it had quite some overheating problems.
but for the rest, verry nice specs, now we wait for an external X-Fi soundcard and we have a very nice midrange mediacentre pc.
