Eizo introduces a 36.4” 4K2K Monitor in Japan

With a 4K2K resolution (4,096×2,160), this monitor will be sold in Japan early September 2011 at a stunning 2.88 Million yen!!!! The DuraVision FDH3601 is an ultra durable screen that is certified to be your 24/7 during two years maximum without failing.
The DuraVision FDH3601 comes with two DVI-D ports and Two DisplayPort inputs and offers a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, a 700cd/m2 brightness and a 8ms response time.

Are there any graphics cards that can go that high? Most cards top out at 2560X1600

Doesnt really matter anyway, no one in their right mind would pay that much for a 36″ monitor….

  Actually, the cost isn’t that bad if it’s taken to consideration that most of the 4K video cameras cost way more than that. Usage for screen like that is in front of editor who’s workstation probably already has quite bit more of hardware to handle the stress caused by uncompressed 4K video materials.
