2 new Toshiba HD-DVD players
I can assure you that HD-DVD is still alive in Japan. Toshiba just released 2 new players, which are in fact the second generation of HD-DVD players, including the HD-XA2 and HD-XF2. Both support DVDs, but I’m not sure about the exact differences between them. Whereas the XA2 is HDMI 1.3 and 1080p, the FX2 is HDMI 1.2a and 1080i… I don’t understand what Toshiba is doing, releasing a player that will not support movies in p and all the benefits of HDMI 1.3… Can’t wait for Toshiba to stop playing around with HD-DVD and start doing Blu-Ray instead

” Can’t wait for Toshiba to stop playing around with HD-DVD and start doing Blue-Ray instead ”
This is especially strange if you consider that Toshiba helped Sony build their PS3 (which is Blue-ray for those that don’t know
)
Come on world, go with the more technically (future-proof) Blue ray
