Nowadays, one may have cabinets filled with CD-Rs and DVDs, but burning discs can be a lengthy and tedious process, especially when dealing with thousands and thousands of files. Until Blu-Ray achieves significant market penetration, i.e., very low cost, due to volume, burning to disc would not be my current first choice for storing my files.
