DW1800, the latest BenQ burner for Japan

Japan just received theDW1800, the latest BenQ burner able to burn DVD + or – at 18x, DVD-RAM at 12x, and DL DVD+/–R at 8x. It is equipped with the Solid Burn, a technology that selects the best burning mode, depending on the DVD or CD inserted.
This news made me realize that DVD burner prices have gone down quite well. This product is sold in Japan for 36.00 euros. I remember buying DVD burners at 240.00 euros a few years ago… I hope this kind of price drop will be the same for BR burners…
