I am sure that you have all already heard about Gigabyte new Z68XP-UD3-iSSD that comes pre-installed with a 20GB Intel SSD, what you many not have heard yet is that companies in Taiwan have already a wide range of mini-PCIE mSATA SSDs ready to be used with this new Z68XP-UD3-iSSD board, like MX-Technology who during Computex 2011 demonstrated a working environment based on Gigabyte’s Z68XP-UD3-iSSD and one of their 60GB SSD.
Cool? Yep but that’s not all, MX-Technology also confirmed that they have for you SSDs up to 240GB ready to be used with Gigabyte’s Z68XP-UD3-iSSD board!
MX-technology’s MXSSD2MMSF comes in 20, 60, 120 and 240GB with a Max reading speed of 140MB/s and 90MB/s writing speed.

    Sorry, but these are not even 2nd SSD generation speeds, let alone 3rd SSD generation speeds.
    140 MB/s and 90 MB/s sounds more like 1st SSD generation speeds.

    3rd generation SSD speeds are between 400 and 600 MB/s (read) and between 300 and 500 MB/s (write).

    Surely just getting a 3rd gen SSD would be faster overall?

    I plan on building a new PC for BF3 in the next few months and i intend to get a regular mobo and a 128gb SSD to use as a boot drive. (with a fast HDD for programs and games)
    Overall this will probably be the best set up.
