Buffalo introduces another SATA III SSD with this time a storage capacity of 512GB!

Last week Buffalo unleash a speedy SATA III (6Gbps) SSD of 256GB of storage, the SSD-N256S/MC400 with a 405MB/s data transfer speed, and yesterday the company announced that it will also introduce yet another version of this SSD but with this time a total capacity of 512GB with the SSD-N512S/MC400.
If unfortunately Buffalo don’t give any specific launch date for this new wonder, they however already have a price ready for us and you should expect spend something around 136,300 Yen to get your hands on one of these.

i wonder if thunderbolt its going to black out USB3.0 after all SSD are reaching faster speeds than USB 3.0 can handle…. so the future lies on thunderbolt? man i regret to had invested on USB3.0 technology

This will only depends of how much royalties Intel will ask for it, but as far I am concerned I will skip USB 3.0 and jump to LightPeak/ThunderBolt

Yup, me too. USB3 isn’t cross-platform, Thunderbolt will be.(osx/win).  Now if only a couple more manufacturers started digging into the technology..    I’d love to see some NAS, DSLR’s and Pro Cameras outfitted with the TB connector.
