[Computex 2011] Turn any Smartphones into a Tablet thanks to ICE’s BIG Fone

[Computex 2011] Turn any Smartphones into a Tablet thanks to ICE’s BIG Fone

I admit that until today I never heard of ICE before, but I really that we will hear more about them in the near future! ICE is a small start-up company that would like to launch by 2012 the BIG Fone, a 10.1-inch tablet that will swallow your smartphone (iOS, Windows Phone 7 or even Android) and use your smartphone’s raw power and OS as the core system, plus allow you to turn your beloved phone into a tablet without having to buy two different devices.

What is also very appealing with the BIG Fone is that it will be technically capable to support most smartphones and OSs but also gives you the possibility to plug some “PC” modules in it, allowing you to turn your BIG Fone into a real Linux or Windows tablet.

The concept is really interesting and I personally love the overall idea of the BIG Fone, but will this product ever come to reality? Will it work as advertised? Yep, there are many questions that only the future will be able to answer but still, the BIG Fone is a very interesting concept!
