Today the Digitimes reported some interesting news coming from the Taiwan-based company about an Intel Atom-based Honeycomb tablet. They said that Acer is expected to launch it in July at the latest.
Apparently production on these Android 3.0 tablets running on the Oak Trail architecture is already in full swing. Hopefully we’ll get more word during Computex Taipei next week, which Akihabara News will be in attendance.
If Digitimes sources are correct, this should mean we will also see more Oak Trail-based Android tablets from Asus and Lenovo.
In addition to Acer’s 10-inch Oak Trail/Android tablet, Acer is said to also be looking at a slate in an Oak Trail/MeeGo flavor as well.
