Sweden bans DOA Dimensions, Tecmo Koei’s in a ‘nippy situation’

The latest and possibly greatest Dead or Alive: Dimensions game just stirred up the rumor mill again in Sweden. The European distributor of Tecmo Koei and Nintendo made a brief statement to EuroGamer Sweden that they decided not to launch the game in Sweden, Norway & Denmark, for various reasons. Some other countries were also made wary of the 3DS game’s ‘adult-esque’ style of content.
Sweden, regarded by many as a country of pretty blondes and spontaneous geyser erruptions without any scientific relationship to the first, now needs to keep the DoA fans on a tight ration until the game receives the game ratings offices approval or at least any form of censorship. The country is well known to have one of the tightest laws on child pornography, so DoA featuring a vast collection of indecent camera angles and the occasional semi-revealing underage 3D nipple … “might” have just push it a bit too far into the red zone.
