Mitsubishi Chemical developed the Industry’s first Tuning/Dimming Capable Organic EL lighting module

Mitsubishi Chemical announced a few days ago the development of world’s first dimming type Organic EL lighting panels, the VELVE.
With the largest panel achieving the size of 14x14cm, these VELVE features the world first full color adjustment function with a brightness ranging from 0 to 100% as well as a wide variety of white from cool to warm.
One of the applications on VELVE for example would be to adapt the lighting of a room to one’s biorhythm with cool white during active hours and warm colors and brightness during for relaxation purpose.
Finally Mitsubishi Chemical is planning to mass product VELVE within 2014 with first commercial products later available.
