Fujitsu Design AWARD 2011 Winner is: The Aid From the Lithuanian Elge Ugintaite
Each year Fujitsu gather some of the most talented minds and designers in order to participate to a friendly yet very competitive design challenge the “Fujitsu Design Award”
This year Fujitsu Design award welcomed many impressive concepts in different categories but it was the creation of the Lithuanian Elge Ugintaite : The Aid, that won the heart of the jury and Fujitsu’s people. The Aid is a space age like walking cane that comes with a tiny little LCD that will bring many useful information to its owner like direction/navigation but also health management and can also interact with it surrounding by warning its owner of potential dangers or any valuable information regarding it surrounding.
The other newsworthy contestants where Philipp Schaake frm Germany and its Crowd a dual screen slate that can be operate simultaneous or separately, as well as the work of Ma Yiwei/ Tao Ying from Hong Kong and their “Anderson PC” and with finally the work of Florian Langer/ Patrick Decker from Germany with their “Frame Series” PC and its Wide Dual Screen Laptop design.
