Fujitsu introduces a new TH Series Tablet in Japan with slide out Keyboard

Fujitsu released this morning a new ATOM based tablet with the TH Series with the company first slide-out Keyboard. Sold as TH40D this new tablet comes with a 10.1” Multitouch screen, with a 1024×600 resolution, and is powered by an Intel Oak Trail ATOM Z670 CPU (1.5GHz), comes with 1GB of RAM, a 120GB 4200 rpm HDD, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi.

This new little TH40D really stands-out of what usually Fujitsu propose with a gorgeous looking design and let’s say “Apple Like” Aluminum chassis and gorgeous screen with a Black Frame. The TH40D is also very light with a weight of only 1.1kg and a total thickness of 17.4mm.
The only draw back that I may think about here is that it only runs on Windows 7, while a dual boot Windows/Android would have been a killer combo!
Finally the TH40D will be available in Japan at the end of June at around 80,000 Yen.

I agree a dual boot windows/android would have made it better, still a good option to consider.

It shows something about the state of modern Japanese language that the first and only utterance you can make out in the background is “dame’ da!”  which means, of course “it’s hopeless”, and which is a poor expression that Japanese people overuse subconsciously wherever you turn.  I don’t think they were referring to the product, however!

Apparently the device is dead dead dead from bad engineering selection of the CPU.
