Rebuild of Evangelion, the new theatrical edition is a series of animated films to breath new life in the big hit anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Original producer Gainax is teaming up with a few new studios to allow these masterpieces to be created. At present time, two movies have already been showcased on the big screen, a third one is expected to be released by the end of this year (although no confirmed date yet). The goal is 4 animated movies providing some new insights and characers coming in a fresh 3DCG package.

Present lineup:

>> Evangelion 3.0 Quickening (TBA)

With a third movie coming closer as the year passes, the flow of released merchandising/fan goods is taking its dominance in this months gadgets releases. You can’t imagine a thing they don’t have with the EVA or NERV logo stuck to it. We’ll give you a short lineup on what’s up for sale in Japan (or at least announced to be sold very soon):

And it wouldn’t be Japanese without some slightly perverted stuff from Rei, Asuka & Mari inbetween. Oh, and the series and animated movies come in DVD/Bluray flavor
