ASIMO to make its St. Louis debut

If you’re a fan of Honda‘s world-renowned advanced humanoid robot ASIMO, which stands for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility, it will be making its St. Louis debut at the FIRST Championship from April 28-30.
At FIRST, another acronym meaning For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, Honda will conduct free 15-minute demonstrations to the general public and attendee, displaying the robot’s capabilities including walking forward and backward, running at nearly 4 mph, and climbing stairs.
While this is the first time Honda brought ASIMO to the St. Louis area, it’s also the first year FIRST will hold its annual robotics championship in the city. So, if you’re a fan of ASIMO, robots, or just tech in general, don’t miss this if you live in the St. Louis area.
