Sony releases rebranded X8 as Walkman W8

Sony Ericsson has rebranded the X8 as the new Walkman W8. The W8 is the first Walkman phone running Android. The device comes with a 320 x 480 touch screen, 600MHz processor, 168MB of RAM and it runs Android 2.1. The W8 is no speed demon but will happily allow you to update your social networking status.
xperiablog.net states that the phone “will be available in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam from Q2 2011 in three different colours (Azur, Metallic Red and the iconic Walkman Orange).”
