I-O Data introduces a set of external BD and DVD Burner with DTCP-IP Support

The I-O Data BRD-U8DM and DVR-U24DM are not just your average external USB 2.0 Blu-Ray and DVD burner but rather the ideal companion for your digital needs when it comes to back-up and burning of your recorded TV shows directly from your TV.

Once connected to your PC and once you install the I-O Data “DTCP-IP Disc Recorder” software, you will have the capability from your connected TV (if your TV is supported of course) to be able to back-up all your shows directly onto a BD Disc or DVD without having to even touch your PC.
Of course in order to do so, your PC will have to be turned on, then it will do pretty much all the work for you, but you won’t have to touch it since everything will be done in the background.

These BD and DVD writers are set to be available within June in Japan and will be sold for around 23,000 and 12,000 Yen respectively.
