Sanyo Xacti DMX-CG6
The latest Sanyo Xacti replaces the current C6. So, what’s new? This new pocket camera still has a 6Mpix sensor, but is now SDHC compatible and supports 4GB SD cards. It goes up to ISO 1600 in manual mode for photos, has a larger display (2.5″), a new optical stabilizer, an audio output for a headset, and it is even possible to transfer your photos and videos directly into an iPod. The photo/video sensor is more efficient in low brightness settings and the flash is now located on the side of the camera.

Well, megapixels aren’t the most important thing, I think that 5MP are enough for common use.
The important thing is the quality of the sensor.
Nice toy
I have the C6 and before that I had the C5 and I love them! They are great left-handed cameras. The only complaint I would have is that they’re VERY sensitive to shaky hand movement but hopefully the new optical stabiliser will fix that. Then again, they said that about the C6.
Beautfiul !!! I think just one world is sufficient .
Where can I buy this camera in USA or COSTA RICA
Thank you JD.
Anyone know the release date of this in the USA, I was thinking about getting a C6 but now that I see the CG6 I want to wait. However the sudden price drop as of late for the C6 is very tempting.
I have the C6 bought it from ebay in Jun06 for only $279US I love it very handy and easy to use, after use it for 2months I found out there is a dead pixel easy fix on photos but not video clip so. RE Gc6 ha! I bought one again from ebay two weeks again and gave the C6 to my sister inlaw the different is here: no more cradle like C6(which I don’t use anyway), Cg6 Made in China iso Japan for C6, same old stabilizer not optical, bigger LCD which is better, nice headphone jack not on C6, low light focus better than C6, flash better than C6 but a slave flash still recommand if you want low ISO pictures, mic is little better than C6(louder), so over all I like the CG6 better but if you can still a C6 for $2?? take a C6 instead. recommad for one or two extra batterys for long video clip use they drain fast.
I bought the CD6 just before xmas and made all the pictures and video. What a desaster. The indoor pictures are so blurred. The image noise is so strong that I don’t know where the 1600iso should be? I tried all the menues but I did not find anything to change the mediocre image quality at dim light. For outside its fine, but even the video quality is not better much better than the first Xacti that I bought.
Too bad I spent the money. Any body wants to buy it from me?
