The Panasonic SD and AVCHD camcorder

Panasonic announced this morning they will soon present a new compact camcorder design that will use SD cards, and will record video in HD with the AVCHD codec developed in partnership with Sony. This design seems rather close to what we’ve seen in the past and is closer to become reality. Panasonic announced this product will have a 3CCD sensor, a 4GB SD card (SDHC), and will record up to 85 minutes of 6Mbps video, or 55 minutes of 9Mbps video.
