Hitachi introduces new G-Technology Drives amd Thunderbolt Support at NAB

NAB was quite successful this year with many nice announcements including Hitachi’s latest line-up of high-end storage devices under the G-Technology Name. This all aluminum drives comes with several disc capacity and configurations with single drive and raid towers capable to give you up to 36TB and 38TB of space with the G Speed FC XL or the shock-resistant G-Drive Duo portable with its 500GB of internal storage and with both FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 connectivity.
Alongside several new storage solutions Hitachi also introduced its adoption to Thunderbolt technology offering 12times the speed of USB 3.0 on some of their latest products.
• New Tough and Rugged G-DRIVE duro Portable Drive
Rugged good looks and G-Technology’s known quality go hand-in-hand with the new G-DRIVE duro portable drive. This sleek external drive, designed for your Apple® Macbook™, Macbook Pro™ or Macbook Air™, has a shock-resistant exterior that helps protect it in case it tumbles out of your gear bag while you’re shooting your next production. Pre-formatted for Macs, the G-DRIVE duro portable drive is FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 equipped, bus-powered and Time Machine™ ready. Offered in 500GB and 750GB capacities, the G-DRIVE duro portable drive will be available in June with an MSRP of $149.99 for 500GB and $179.99 for 750GB.
