[Display 2011] Bridgestone introduces A4 and A3 AeroBee e-paper Display solutions

Bridgestone a leader in e-paper technology introduced today at Display 2011 its latest wonders with the first A4 and A3 AeroBee e-paper terminals.
With a ready to customize solution, Bridgestone’s A4 AeroBee terminals give manufacturers the possibility to provide larger e-paper devices featuring Bridgestone ultra fast AreoBee technology. Not only Bridgestone announced today the world largest e-paper solution with A4 and A3 size, but AeroBee technology provide fast response time giving a more natural writing experience on e-paper based tablets.

The first terminal available and introduced today, an A4 e-paper Tablet, comes with a 13.1” 4,096 colors touch panel with an 800×600 resolution offering a 1.3sec/page refresh rate and runs on Linux 2.6.24 with an ARM11 533MHz CPU and 128MB of RAM as well as 4GB of internal memory.
This terminal also offers basic connectivity with Bluetooth, WLAN, USB 2.0 as well as a SD card reader. Finally, this terminal weight under 730g with a 13mm thickness and a 245x303mm size.

Alongside today’s A4 and A3 AeroBee solution, Bridgestone also introduces several new concepts including some flexible AeroBee based ones.
