[Display 2011] Tohoku University develops projector display insensitive to ambient light

[Display 2011] Tohoku University develops projector display insensitive to ambient light

The Tohoku region suffered from a Major earthquake and Tsunami recently has well as being in the “heart” of a nuclear crisis that has been yet solved, however and despite all of this, people from the Tohoku region keep their spirit high and fight adversity like no one else in Japan, like Dr. NISHIZAWA Masahiro who introduced today at Display 2011, its University and Lab achievement with a projector screen/display insensitive to ambient or direct light.
Like Dr. NISHIZAWA Masahiro explain on the video below, this display is made with two key components with a mirror panel as a base overlaid by a diffuser film that will repulse direct light and offer stunning pictures with great contrast ratio even in broad daylight this in any size and shapes.

Looks yummy, 1 whats the native resolution per inch / price and 2, can this screen technology be curved? obviously it is best for wall mounting and commercial display, but in home consumer use will probably greatly benefit from being able to curve the screen to increase the viewable angle when you turn your head instead of having to move your head and body for deeper immersion.
