Hitachi releases in Japan its new 500GB iVDRs HDD + USB Cradle

iVDR was suppose to be the answer to all our Storage needs and problems with a unique format capable to be used in everything ranging from your PC, TV, Video Recorder, Car and even Camera. But like many proprietary format, the iVDR never get the success it was looking, still, Hitachi who’s behind (among others) the iVDR continues to propose iVDR capable TVs and has introduces this morning any combo with the iS500 and iS500AD that includes for the first one a 500GB iVDRs drive where the S stand for secure and the iS500AD the very same 500GB iVDRs drive sold with an I-O Data USB docking station.
Note : The iVDR is nothing but a regular 5.2” HDD packaged in a proprietary case.
