Posting comments does not require activation
To prevent spam, we decided to stop supporting the forum on the website. News comments are now located below each news. To post a comment online, you need to validate an email first. This constraint is necessary to identify you as a human and not a spam bot.
This system is very effective against spam, but quite restrictive to the active forum users. Therefore, we introduced a new system called VIP, or Very Important Pig (Space Pig). Once you’re subscribed (it’s free, easy, and painless), you can start posting comments without going thru email validation.
To become a Very Important Pig Member, please send us an email to akihabara.news @ gmail.com with your Id or Nickname, and a valid email address. Once we’ve received your email and established you as a Very Important Pig Member, you will be able to post comments like crazy. We’ll place a little note on our homepage that will explain how this system works for new and existing users.
