Toshiba Hybrid DVD and HD DVD

Toshiba announced they successfully combined a simple or dual layer DVD with a simple or dual layer HD DVD on a single plate, with 3 layers, allowing the DVD to remain as thin as possible. The resulting DVD will have:

1) Single Layer DVD (4.7GB) + Dual Layer HD DVD (30GB)
2) Dual Layer DVD (8.5GB) + Single Layer HD DVD (15GB)
