MSI add AMD’s Fusion technology into its extra slim X370

This Friday, MSI announced that is has introduced a new 13” X370 ultra-slim notebook the X370. Far from being as powerful that on its Core i5 Version this new X370 will however provide you with an increase battery life and acceptable performances for your everyday computing needs.

Like most Fusion based laptop, this X370 comes with AMD’s E-350 Zacate APU, a Radeon HD 6310, the choice between three HDD capacity including a 320, 500 and even 640Gb drive, a 13.4” LED backlight screen with a 1366×768 resolution, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, HDMI, VGA and a the choice between a 4 or 8 cell battery.

MSI has unveiled its new generation X370 notebook computer, featuring AMD’s environmentally friendly, power-sipping E-350 processor and MSI’s own ECO Engine power-saving technology, giving the X370 up to 10 hours of battery power per charge.

Taipei—MSI has rolled out its new generation X-Slim Series X370 laptop computer which has a gorgeously slender body graced with flowing curves. Less than one-inch thin, it tips the scales at a mere 1.4kg. The X370 sports MSI’s etched checkerboard design and the cover is sheathed in MSI’s exclusive shimmering color film print to underscore the X370′s extraordinary style.

Eric Kuo, associate vice president for global sales, MSI Notebook, points out that the new generation X370 laptop packs AMD’s new generation dual-core E-350 processor, endowing the machine with powerful processing and display capabilities, but more importantly, it only uses 18 watts of electricity. Couple that with MSI’s own ECO Engine power-saving technology and the X370′s battery supplies up to ten hours of power per charge.

New generation AMD processor, 10 hours on battery
New AMD APU architecture processor: The MSI X-Slim X370 is equipped with AMD’s new generation (2011) dual core E-350 processor. In addition to packing the x86 architecture core, the APU (Accelerated Processing Units) processor sports the AMD Radeon™ HD 6310 discrete class display chip which supports DirectX 11, offering powerful processing and display performance on par with discrete graphics cards. 10 hours of battery power: The X370 not only offers the ultimate in high performance multimedia and processing capabilities, MSI’s exclusive ECO engine power-saving technology lets you select from among five power management levels—Video Game, Film, Presentation, Word Processing, and Turbo Battery. And the AMD E-350 processor uses only 18 watts of power. Together these give you to ten hours of extended battery life. *Actual battery time will vary with differences in computer use and settings.

The perfect fusion of high tech and art
Feather pattern: The X-Slim X370 is less than one inch thin and tips the scales at just 1.4kg. The cover is sheathed in MSI’s own lustrous color film print with checkerboard pattern which is set off by the laptop’s silver trim and the metallic sheen of the borders around the power button, LED status indicator lights, and the touchpad as well as MSI’s Chiclet keyboard. All these details come together to form a stylish notebook that is elegant without being ostentatious.

MSI software makes your life convenient
S-Bar toolbar: MSI’s X-Slim X370 not only offers the most powerful hardware available, both its hardware and software were designed with the user in mind. The S-Bar toolbar, located at the top of the screen, consists of shortcuts for major OS programs, for hardware, and for MSI’s own applications. Use it to control all system functions, auxiliary programs, and applications as well as an array of programs, such as software to save power and boost performance as well as MSI’s multimedia software, the webcam, the projector, the wireless, Bluetooth, volume control, screen brightness, and standby mode. Operating multimedia was never easier.

i-Charger: The X370 also comes with MSI’s i-Charger technology which pumps more power through the USB slots, so you can recharge devices up to three times faster. Now, while others sit around waiting for their mobile devices to recharge, you can be using yours.

MSI EasyViewer photo manager: The X370 comes with Easy Viewer which lets you show pictures three dimensionally. You can use the multipoint touchpad to enlarge and reduce photos, maximize them to full screen size, and even display them in an automated slide show. Slide mode lets you edit photos, enlarge or reduce them, rotate them gradually or by 90 degrees. HDII image enhancement, intelligent white balance, and image sharpness can by employed to make images richer and enhance contrast and layering.

Easy Face facial recognition: The X370 comes equipped with MSI’s own facial recognition software which works in concert with the high definition webcam to protect data biometrically. Easy Face remembers passwords for MSN accounts as well as login passwords for websites and systems and can integrate all passwords for your personal accounts under one lock and key—your unique facial features. It remembers your passwords, so you don’t have to.
