Let's Visit Tokyo - Shinkansen Edition

Let’s Visit Tokyo is not dead and we will resume our video as soon as we can, meanwhile let’s enjoy this Shinkansen footage shot by Benoa-San a couple of weeks ago… Meanwhile let’s pray for those who are risking their life everyday at Fukushima in order to keep us safe.

I like trains, the faster the better. This train looks fantastic.

It says I have to login to download?

Can’t wait for them to get fixed… Don’t want to pay vimeo just to download your videos and the free “one-vid-a-week” option is annoying. :(

The only thing that keeps this from being a perfect ‘natsukashii’ moment is that a train bound for Shin-Kobe, Shin-Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo has a message that Maibara is next, and arrives at Okayama!

    Hi!

Thank you for sharing this shinkansen video!

Unfortunately, the Vimeo website keeps saying “Permission Denied: This video cannot be downloaded anymore today.”
Do they impose a daily download limit or something?

    I’ll try again tomorrow….

  • badka

Impressive, very well announced where the nozomi stops, looks like a very comfy ride.
Very nice to see how clean the stations are.. no chewing gum on the pavement, no tiles that are cracked or came loose, .. the service on the train itself is also noteworthy to see. I don’t know where I could find something similar like this in Belgium, France or the UK..

Nice…I wish we had a high speed train network in the States.

We could have, if some GOP governors weren’t in a race to decline the Federal Government’s funds for high speed rail. Ohio and Wisconsin are the 2 that I know of for sure…
Though – they weren’t planning Shinkansen speeds.

You will. First line will lead from D.C. to Miami, then the rest of the east coast. Me and my company are working on that projects. It will take some years, but you’ll definately get high speed trains…
