Audio Technica releases new Solid Bass overhead headphones with iPhone support

Audio Technica has introduced yesterday in Japan a new pair of Overhead headphones with the ATH-WS55 Series. Available in two different flavors with one model fitted with a microphone to be used with an iPhone, these new ATH-WS55 features Audio-Technica Solid Bass technology offering rich sound in low sound region.
Spec-wise, these headphones comes with a pair of 40mm Driver unit, comes with a 100dB/mW sound pressure, a 40Ω Impedance and works on a 10Hz to 24kHz reproduction bandwidth.
Set to arrive in Japan around April, these headphones will be sold around 8,925 for the stock version and 9,975 Yen for the iPhone friendly one.

Those look pretty nice! I noticed that when I have my Beats Pros in I can still use the iPhone mic, but it will be good to have separate support. Also, I’ve used the Audio-technica ATH-CK400i (http://www.headphones.com/Headphones/Audio-Technica-ATH-CK400I-IN-EAR-HEADPHONES-WITH-INTEGRATED-CONTROL-FOR-APPLE-PRODUCTS-ATH-CK400i-66997.html?&a=hpsadw) and am curious if it comes with the same mic. I was impressed with the one on the in ear model and don’t know if it’s an in-line mic, or on the ear cups.
