Are these new screens 1080p or still 1080i?

This is the biggest/only reason for me to even bother upgrading my current plasma.

Japanese companies launch new models of the same product with only slight improvements on a yearly basis and usually its not worth it, but if they finaly launch 1080p screens then maybe its time to change. Till then i wouldnt bother.
