NEC rejuvenates its ValueStar PC range

The complete ValueStar range (the W, X and L) is affected by this update. Main improvements are Blu-Ray and watercooling.

Let’s start with the biggest model, the X-series. It has a BD-ROM drive, a watercooled Pentium D 945 CPU, a wide 20″ screen, 1GB of RAM, a digital TV tuner, a GeForce 660GT and 500GB of HDD space in RAID.

The W has a BD-ROM drive, a digital TV tuner, the choice between a bunch of CPU’s up to the Pentium D 945, 400GB of HDD space in RAID and a 32″ screen with a resolution of 1360×768.

The L is a slim desktop that can adopt a range of CPU’s, casings and screens but doesn’t have a BD-ROM drive nor a digital TV tuner.

Finally there’s the S, an all-in-one PC/TV device, that is available in a number of configurations, and the high-end model has a 20″ screen (1680×1050), 300GB of HDD space, a DVD multi drive and a ATI Radeon Xpress 1250.
