Although there was no actual availability date from Asus, we came across the first commercials who claim the imminently close shipping date for their new Asus Eee Slate PC.
The first model got showcased during CES this year and was set for January release, yet the company couldn’t deliver the goodies and postponed it to later this year.

The Eee Slate is high quality tablet sized PC running on Windows 7,boasting a wide range of remarkable features such as:

- Core i5 470UM CPU
- 2 or 4Gb RAM
- 64Gb Solid state storage
- Windows 7 Home Premium OS
- 1280*800 12.1 Inch ultra durable glass IPS Capacitive display with
175° viewing angle
- Wacom Digitizer stylus pen

Unlike many other, the Eee Slate has been endorsed by Windows, giving it more than just a wildcard to guarantee a flawless multimedia experience. Combining all these features in a tablet also comes with somewhat of a downside, battery level is said to perform 3h or more. Which for the specifications isn’t bad, but anything below 4h is in my opinion too low to be classified as “productive” in enterprise environments.

Oh yes, pricing would be around 999$… I do hope those speculations are wrong, since very few people will want to pay such an uber-premium price for a device craving for juice every 3-4h.
