Panasonic releases remote video recording reservation, CATV Universal Portal and Mobile Phone remote video capabilities

Today Panasonic released several new technology and concept for the video integration on CATV services in Japan and Worldwide Including DiMORA and CATV Universal Portal Hosting.
The first service, DiMORA, compatible with any Diga Products and Panasonic CATV’s boxes, will allows anyone to remotely initiate program recording or schedule from the any connected devices including PCs as well as Mobile Phone, Tablet and Smartphone either running on iOS or Android and even from your car if you happen to own a compatible Strada GPS/AV System connected to your phone via Bluetooth.
This service, already available for Panasonic CATV boxes users will be also offer soon to dedicated Cable TV Operators in Japan whit the possibility for them to tune-up DiMORA interface to their liking.
Once at home you will also be able to use your Tablet or Smartphone as a universal TV remote and with on future version the possibility to access on any mobile devices to recorded media stored on your CATV Panasonic Box.
The Second service introduced by Panasonic today was the CATV Universal Portal or CUP, a service dedicated here as well to Cable TV Operator made to reduce their development cost as well as material cost by not only offering hosting solution to Cable TV Operators to help them to manage cost, but also to help them via CUP (Cable TV Universal Portal) To offer a unique user experience with easy to design Video Portal and Video Services.
Panasonic demonstrate several interesting services based on CUP including the possibility for people to get updated medical information on their day to day treatment as well as reminder and visual aids to reduce confusion when taking medicines, the usual VOD Services, e-Shopping, e-Books and Magazines and even, but still in Beta, basic eMail service allowing elderlies to receive emails from their loved one on their TVs.
