It is amazing the number of things that can be turned into a “Wall Plug” nowadays, and this dual HDMI Wall Plug or Antenna & HDMI Wall plug combo may just among the strangest thing I have seen today.     Monoprice and other A/V specialty stores have had these for -years-.

    While running HDMI throughout the entire home may not be practical, these do come in handy for running in-wall HDMI cables from the media cabinet to a wall-mounted flatscreen. Of course, the downside of such a setup is that unless you’re in-between two studs (vertically), it’s going to be -very- difficult to swap out horizontally-run cables as the HDMI cable as the spec continues to progress for 3D, Ethernet, etc.

      Yeah I’ve seen them at stores for years.

      I think this is useless though, and if you have many devices you would want an a/v receiver or a switch.
      Something like hdbaset that was revealed last year would be more versatile and new homes having ethernet built in walls are more common nowadays. Makes it even easier to adapt too.

    I find is odd, and disappointing, that firewire was never properly adopted to carry digital video, when it’s been around for years. Why do TVs not have a firewire port to plug in your video camera?
