[CEBIT 2011] Telstar China’s mini-multimedia projector for IPhone 4 and Cortex Based Tablet

Some products are meant to draw attention, others just aren’t. Unfortunately Telstar had a bit of a special way of displaying their new mini-multimedia projector. They used a piece of white carton board to show-off their IPhone attachable projector. Which resulted in a very flaccid screen experience where nobody who walked by really got caught by what the product exactly did. A mini-darkroom with white projector screen might actually been a better pick compared to what they used on show now. The product itself didn’t look that underpowered, since projectors are meant to be used in dark rooms and CeBIT’s hallways were bright enough to grow indoor tomatoes.
Device specifications are: 12 ANSI Lumen good for 640*360 pixels on a 2200MAH Li-Ion rechargeable battery. The gadget charges over USB and can be used as an external battery for your IPhone 4 as well.
Except for the mini-multimedia projector, Telstar also produces:
The MID F7266 tablet with 2gb NAND, 256Mb DDR2, a 7″ Screen with a 800×480 resolution and 800Mhz Cortex CPU. It felt a little bit underpowered. Support for 720P Mpeg4 and MKV is present although we have our doubts if this Cortex CPU can keep up without delivering shoddy screen quality. WiFi, Bluetooth, 3G and AGPS are present. Similar derivates for this tablet are the Q7128 and F7130, but nothing groundbreaking here.
Their booth also showcased a low featured smartphone (V820) and another mini-multimedia projector which was a standalone model supporting SD/MMC cards with USB 2 support (did accept a default USB mouse) on the 500Mhz ARM926 double kernel and 64Mb RAM, enough to output 640×480 pixels.
Some MP3 players were on show as well, but nothing that will blow your socks off I’m afraid.
