[CEBIT 2011] Foldable bluetooth keyboards for smartphones, drumsets and pianos

At Cebit you really find everything from the all common i7 up to the oddest gadget you can imagine. One of these oddities you don’t find that often is foldable rubber pc peripherals. The booth of Chinese manufacturer China Victory was actually packed with a multitude of quite useful multicolored rubber items. Their product range is fairly straightforward, and so is their business model, to sum up what they had on show:
USB foldable full size rubber keyboards in various colors (black, blue, pink, red, grey, white up to yellow) both in ultra flat, normal, numpad-only, super-compact, cold light, normal, multimedia, fashion or waterproof edition. Not to mention they had one with a built in touch-mouse (this looks very similar to a touchpad).
Now if this still isn’t right up your alley, how about using the same concept of rollable, squeezable flexi-rubber keyboards, but instead of the bugger cable, adding an EDR v2 bluetooth transmitter? Yes they have that, even in a small and very light edition to be mainly used with smartphones who usually have a touchpad or keypad designed for baby hands. We tested it with our HTC smartphone, and it got immediately connected. We will try and get some samples over to the AkihabaraNews labs to thoroughly test them and let you know our impressions, since this product might actually be a winner for the ardent traveller or business user who finds stroking his smartphone too sexually arousing.
Well that’s not everything yet, they also showcased the same concept of their foldable bluetooth/usb keyboard but converted them into foldable piano’s up to a flat drumset. Certainly worth a look if you’re planning on visiting Cebit.
The representative told us the average price will be around 15 euro for the bluetooth mini keyboard.
