And here it is… FINALLY… the 2nd part of our tour of Akihabara, or how to spend your hard-earned cash Green Space Pig-style! As a sidenote: it seems that I’m on “Akihabara’s Most Wanted” list in some banks as I incite a number of readers to spend more than they can afford…
So today we’ll talk about Akihabara’s main road, CHUO DORI, a large avenue that is a few kilometres long. On this road you can often see long queues when Sony or Nintendo release a new console (that never is the case for an Xbox release btw). Below you also have a picture of this road. Our video starts when we cross the road (from left to right under the green bridge) and we’ll walk all the way down this road (on the right on the picture) to then come back on the left to our starting point (under the bridge).
We won’t spoil the fun of watching this 7 minute movie by giving you all the good stuff here in writing. There are good deals to be done on Chuo-Dori, but the most important stuff is yet to come. The further away you get from the train station where all the big shops are situated, the shops that can afford ludicrous rental fees, and the duty freee shops), the better the deals are in the cool shops and inside the buildings where there’s always something to check out.
