Wireless Japan: hTc Z from DoCoMo

Akihabara News was ALSO this morning at the Wireless Japan, and started immediately with the DoCoMo booth where we had the chance to play with the latest HTC PDA Phone which is going to be sold under the name hTc Z in any DoCoMo Store at the end of this month. So what can we say, well honestly speaking and even if this model do not carry a VGA screen but only a 2.8″ QVGA one, I will drop my HTC universal and Jump on this one as soon as it is available, this phone is AMAZINGLY small and wonderful… The specifications of this phone are as follow: CPU 400MHZ Samsung, 128MB of ROM, 64MB of SDRAM, UMTS 800/2100, GPRS/EDGE/GSM, 2Mpix Video Camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wifi b/g…. A killer!

yes but this is just a question of time Remember this is a HTC Phone which means that in 2 month you will be able to un lock it (sim Free) change language to whatever you want and even put a competitor OS in it :D

I wonder if it will be possible for a regular customer to buy one of these, since DoCoMo is only planning to sell them to corporate customers.

Also, while I’m not very familiar with WM5, from what I’ve read changing the language requires obtaining a whole new WM5 installation – it seems that it’s not as simple as just changing a configuration option.

Overall a nice looking phone, but I think I’ll wait a while for the price to drop below 100,000 yen and just import an unlocked model.

¿¿?? In 2 months you can ask DOCOMO to unlock it? Why?
Anyway; Is possible to change the language of the device?

    Bye!
