Panasonic introduces three new full HD Xacti siblings Camcorders in Europe

Panasonic introduces three new full HD Xacti siblings Camcorders in Europe

It seems that the “Marriage” between Panasonic and Sanyo is bearing its first fruit and even if Sanyo could not confirm or deny anything today regarding this matter, the similarity between this new Panasonic camcorder and Sanyo’s actual Xacti line-up is striking.

Anyway, here are the three last models that Panasonic has introduced for the European market : the waterproof (IPX8) full HD HX-WA10 and its 12x Advance Zoom (5x Optical), 2.7” LCD Monitor, E.I.S, SDXC and 16Mpix image sensor; the HX-DC10, another full HD model which is in fact a HX-WA10 camcorder without the waterproof capacity of its older brother; and finally The HX-DC1, a HX-DC10 with just a 14Mpix Sensor.

Is there going to be a HD3000 soon? I need to upgrade from my Sanyo HD1000 which I’ve been using for all my video-blogging since early 2008.

Hoping for not only super low light quality and super compression quality, I’d also like a larger better LCD viewfinder, faster and better on-camera editing including automatic embedding of my transparent logo watermark or intro/outros, and it would be nice with something like built-in RF/BT wireless microphone support, on board sound mixer with also a shotgun microphone, and if possible there should be WiFi and Ethernet connectors for full speed direct uploading to YouTube without needing to use a laptop, and with touchscreen or BT/USB keyboard connection for editing the titles/descriptions/tags for when uploading to YouTube.

Should point out that the usable battery life of this camera is only 30 minutes according to the data sheet they had in Yodobashi Camera in Tokyo… I’d wait for the next generation
