[MWC 2011] Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Hands-on

MWC 2011] Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Hands-on

Sony Ericsson’s last hope? No don’t Worry SE is here to stay, but the company is facing some pretty imminent danger with Apple and its ever going accession in the gaming world, and the Xperia Play is SE’s ideal tool to finally give Apple something to chew.

So what to expect from SE’s new Xperia Play? First of all the hardware is rock-solid and the Xperia Play feels just right in your hands, after all with its PSPgo like Shape we were sure that SCEI and SE would find a way to make the Xperia Play as good as possible.

The “Android 2.3” part of Xperia Play ran very smoothly and we did not notive anything wrong with it, well actually we spent most of our time playing with the Play rather than testing its Android layer.
So games, what can we say about them? Well first of all SE is going to launch the Xperia Play with 50 titles available from Day one, a huge start that will give to everyone something to choose from.
Now to be very honest with you and we like the Xperia Play not every games demoed where all equal in quality and despite SE’s effort they kind of looking “old” compare to some games found on iOS or the PSP for example and had an habit to crash on us (Pre-release), but this, I am sure will change in the future so meanwhile choose wisely when you are going to spend a few extra bucks on a new game for your Xperia Play.
