If anyone can get close to Apple’s prices on the iPad, it will be Samsung. When everyone was complaining that the iPad was too expensive starting at $499, I had to laugh. Sure enough, the early tablets that even came close to the same price were complete, unusable garbage.

Samsung’s 7″ tablet is a great device that was still a bit more expensive than the iPad’s base price, but with more features. I don’t think most of the buying public cared about the features as much as the tiny (relatively speaking) screen. This new tablet will address the screen size issue, but with a “.0″ release of Android, which could be buggy.

I wish Samsung the best, because Apple needs competition to improve.
