MSI Unveils the N580GTX HydroGen’s All Copper Waterblock Design

I declared war on fans a longtime ago and I can only welcome any manufacturer move toward watercooling! Today it’s MSI that has all our attention with their latest N580GTX HydroGen. Unlike its name want use to believe the HydroGen do not use Hydrogen to cool down your GPU, but rather rely on MSI’s HydroGen All Copper technique to reduce up to 24°C your GPU temperature compare to the reference design.
No Fan no hassle and for the power freak, MSI also includes its proprietary overclocking software to gain a few more FPS.
The MSI N580GTX HydroGen water-cooled graphics card is equipped with an All-Copper large surface area waterblock covering both the GPU and memory components. The design offers a more effective solution to the problem of cooling down high-end graphics card than conventional waterblocks, which only cover the GPU. The waterblock also features MSI’s unique Micro-Channel technology that places microscopic water channels just 0.45mm wide throughout the GPU area. The micro-channels speed up water flow and enhance GPU heat dissipation. The result is an operating temperature which is 24°C lower than that of the reference design— and not to brag, but it is completely silent during operation! To talk it up even more, its single-slot design lets players set up SLI multi-graphics card systems, and its reinforced reverse side prevents the weight of the waterblock from bending the PCB. Such an innovative and effective cooling performance makes the MSI Hydrogen without a doubt the most advanced, optimum water-cooling solution.
MSI’s own Afterburner overclocking software offers automatic switching between 2D/3D frequencies according to the user’s environment for better energy efficiency. Real-time monitoring of core/memory frequencies and voltage allows the user to easily keep tabs on the card’s running condition. The N580GTX HydroGen also supports GPU voltage adjustment, and the Afterburner software provides a simple way of increasing the core voltage to boost the overclocking potential and let loose the card’s full power.
MSI has always been committed to providing consumers with the best quality components. The N580GTX HydroGen uses All Solid CAP to deliver over 10 years of service life even in the most demanding user environments. The long lifespan and extreme stability provides the consumer with the best, most user-friendly experience.
