I'd like to note every cellphone service provider, over the course of a year, will together produce hundreds of new phone models, most of which that are available in a variety of colors. My Casio Japanese "dumb"phone is years ahead of any other phone I've ever owned. Yes, the paint does chip, but that's only because Japanese use their phones way more than people in any other countries, and unlike most smartphones, there really aren't any cases to protect them.

Let me also remind you there was no competition for smartphones in Japan until last year or so. Japanese phone makers were completely not prepared for smartphones to take off. They'll get better with time.

And Daimaeou, if you're going to write articles, please act professional. You're extreme bias in almost every article really ruins the integrity of this website.

Compare any Japanese phone to an iPhone or an HTC HD and you will see the difference in quality build. Then take any Android Japanese phone and compare it to an HTC running android and you will understand what I mean with UI optimization.

Been here since the past 9 years, and while at first Japanese phone was ahead, now they are clearly behind when it comes to UI design and hardware quality. Check around in the train and look how many Japanese phones have their paint peeling away.

I'd trade in my Xperia for that, since I already have the Galaxy Tab for apps, e-mail and Internet and don't need anything from my phone apart from calls, good camera and IPX5/IPX7-8 waterproofness so I can have conversations during bath time. Also, like most flip phones, it's one hell of a sexy fashion accessory.

Japanese phones are poorly designed in many aspects. First the material use is cheap plastics and "paint" often peals away after 6 month. But the worst part is the OS with an UI badly designed cumbersome where each elements rarely match one another it feels like a different team has been used on every different mode of the phone and never met to integrate each parts together to give a seamless experience. Mail Application are just horrible and rarely support something else that the Operator Email, you won't be able for example to add your Gmail or Yahoo Account on these phones. Finally the Browser is that bad and slow that you would be better of using the one of Pocket PC 2002 Edition.
