Sigma slashes its APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM lens price in Japan to match overseas ones

In a rather unusual but welcome move, Sigma has announced yesterday that will cut the price of one of its lens, the APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM, by 50,000 Yen in order to match overseas price. Has you maybe aware, Japan is facing quite some difficulties lately with a strong currency weakening export but making filthy rich every company building their products overseas or who’s in the import business.
Anyway this may just be a Marketing stunt from Sigma, but you have to admit that slashing the price of one of your lens of just 50,000 Yen is quite something, especially when the lens cost initially around 210,000 Yen.
