Panasonic introduces 3D Digital CATV Set-top box in Japan

Being a major manufacturer of 3D Blu-Ray Player/Burner and 3D TV in Japan and worldwide, Panasonic decided today to spice things a little in this so cold and boring CATV World by adding a bit of 3D? Yep this is exactly what Panasonic did today by introducing not one but three new 3D Blu-Ray BDXL burners capable CATVs Set-top box in Japan with the TZ-BDT910M, TZ-BDT910F and TZ-BDT910P.
Don’t expect anything too fancy here since these CATVs are just regular Blu-Ray BDXL Burners with 500GB of Internal memory but tuned to be compliant and used in any CATV environment at home or anywhere else, and event let you enjoy a good 3D movie or Record your show on a 128GB BDXL disc once in a while.
Finally, these 3D CATV Set-top box are DLNA compatible, WiFi capable via Panasonic’s USB WiFi dongle DY-WL10, will allow you to access to Japan best VOD services including Tsutaya TV and WOWOW for example but also online services like YouTube.
On a side note, Panasonic announced that while early 2010 only 19% of they HDD and Blu-Ray recorder built were 3D, then jump to 70% at the end of 2010, by 2011, all Panasonic HDD and Blu-Ray burner/Player produced and sold will be 3D.
