This is why Takara Tomy introduced this morning their new ultimate handy beer server, the Beer Hour that will help you to poor delicately your beer into any glasses as well as giving you the best “foam” possible anytime anywhere.

Um… Why would anyone want foam on their beer? If you did, you’d just pour it quickly to the bottom instead of to the side of the glass like any sane person who wants to drink their beer quickly and without a mustache.

I wanted to like the idea, but nope. What this demonstrates is that it’s still all about technique. Even with this thing, the demonstrator still managed to mispour the beer. A foam head is basically just spent bubbles. The more head you make, the less fizzy the beer. If you like your beer flat, pour quickly to the bottom of the glass and let it rest. If you want fizz in your beer, you know, like how they intended when they brewed it and put in the can, pour carefully to the side and turn upright as you go.
