Hitachi introduces a new 3TB Ultrastar 7K3000 HDD

The Ultrastar 7K3000 Series is Hitachi latest 2 and 3TB HDD available in SATA or SAS Configuration. This new Ultrastar 7K3000 comes with a 7,200 rpm speed, 64MB of Buffer and a power consumption of 5.6Wwhile idling for the SATA version and 6.6W for the SAS one.

interesting specs from Hitachi. I wonder why it takes Samsung so long to come up with a 3tb counterpart. They became well popular over the recent years.
